Who Am I
Mooketsi
is a 3rd generation entrepreneur turned early-stage investor with over a decade
of experience building and supporting startups in Southern Africa. He has
successfully raised over $1 million for startups between 2021-2023 and founded
Ngwana Africa, an accelerator collaborating with government entities,
embassies, and organizations like the World Bank, GIZ, UNICEF, Google, and SAP
to empower tech startups, foster digital coding, and drive startup investments.
As
Managing Director of the Global Entrepreneurship Network Botswana (2013-2024),
Mooketsi played a pivotal role in positioning Botswana’s startup ecosystem on
the global stage. In 2021, he launched PULASPACE, a $10 million micro fund for
early-stage startups, which has since evolved into Pulaspace Capital Fund,
supporting 400+ startups and connecting 89+ investors across Botswana, South
Africa, and Rwanda. His leadership roles include serving on the Advisory Board
of Stanbic Bank Acceler8 and as a Board Member of Botswana Digital Innovation
Hub. A trusted advisor to Botswana's Cabinet Ministers, Mooketsi specializes in
digital startups and innovation funding, with personal interests in digital
authorship, wineries, travel, and emerging tech culture globally.
